Martinez‐Inchausti
joined
the
British
Retail
Consortium
in
November
2005
as
 Deputy
 Director
 of
 the
 Food
 Policy
 team.
 Andrea’s
 areas
 of
 responsibility
include:
 Labelling,
 Nutrition,
 Allergens
 and
 Compositional
 Standards.
 She
 has
done
 extensive
 work
 on
 pieces
 of
 legislation
 such
 us
 the
 Food
 Information
Proposal
and
the
Regulation
on
Nutrition
and
Health
Claims.
She
has
also
worked
in
the
development
of
the
UK
national
front
of
pack
labelling
scheme.
She
represents
the
BRC
in
Europe
and
chairs
the
labelling
and
the
nutrition
Committees
in
the
European
Retail
Organisation
EuroCommerce.
 
She
previously
worked
at
Leatherhead
Food
International,
where
she
was
responsible
for
assessing
technical
regulatory
issues
in
a
number
of
markets
across
the
globe.
Prior
to
this
Andrea
trained
as
a
veterinarian
and
has
worked
in
gaining
regulatory
approvals
for
food,
healthcare
and
cosmetic
products.
