Gareth Barrett has been with the British Soft Drinks Association since September 2014, leading their policy work on economic and health policy, whilst also managing their relationships with key stakeholders.

Prior to this he worked in a similar role at the British Beer & Pub Association, supporting their award winning campaigns on beer duty, and in the Houses of Parliament. He is a local councillor and was a parliamentary candidate in 2015.

He holds a BSc in Economics from Essex, a MSc in Public Policy from Birkbeck and where he is also completing a PhD in Government part- time.
